DNS Shield Browser

Your privacy, clearly explained

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information DNS Shield Browser uses, where it goes, and the choices you have when browsing with the app.

Effective date: September 23, 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the DNS Shield Browser mobile app for Android and iOS and to this policy page. “We” means the developer of DNS Shield Browser. The app includes an in-app browser, optional DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH) routing for that browser, and account sign-in.

DNS Shield applies to supported browsing inside this app only. It does not change your device-wide DNS settings or network traffic from other apps.

2. Information we handle

Account information

If you register or sign in, a Google-operated cloud authentication service processes your email address and sign-in credentials. If you choose Google Sign-In, Google supplies basic account information such as your name, email address, and profile photo. We use this information to create and manage your account, show your profile, and help you recover access.

We may store an account record in a Google-operated cloud database containing your email address, name if available, an app-generated identifier, and account creation date. Records carried over from earlier app versions may also contain profile fields you previously supplied. A limited account summary, language choice, DNS preferences, and an email address you choose to remember are stored on your device.

Browsing history and website data

The app saves recently visited page URLs, titles, visit times, and available site-icon URLs on your device to show your browsing history. The app does not upload this history list to our cloud account database. Like other browsers, the embedded web view may store website cookies, cache, and local storage on your device. Clearing the history list does not necessarily clear those separate website data stores.

Technical information

The services used for sign-in and account management may receive technical information, such as your IP address and device or app information, to provide the service and protect against misuse. Their data practices are described in their own policies. The app does not provide anonymous browsing.

3. DNS Shield and browsing

When you turn on DNS Shield, the app sends DNS lookup requests over HTTPS to the provider you select: Cloudflare, Google, or AdGuard. That provider can receive the domain being looked up and technical connection information, including your IP address. The app briefly caches DNS answers in memory to make repeat lookups faster. Turning off DNS Shield stops this routing for future supported in-app requests.

DNS encryption protects DNS requests in transit to the selected provider. It does not hide your IP address from websites, encrypt an ordinary HTTP page, or control how the DNS provider handles its own data. When DNS Shield is off, the browser uses the device's normal network path.

When you visit a website, that site and its embedded services may receive your IP address and requests, and may use cookies or similar technologies. If you enter text into the address bar that is treated as a search, it opens a Google search; Google receives the query. Those websites' own privacy policies govern their use of information.

4. Services and third parties

We use Google-operated cloud services for authentication and account records, Google Sign-In if you choose it, and the selected DNS provider when DNS Shield is on. Browsed websites and search engines are separate services you choose to access. This static policy page is hosted by Vercel, which may process visitor connection data to deliver it. Data may be processed outside your country.

For details about those services' practices, see Google's Privacy Policy, Cloudflare's public DNS privacy information, AdGuard DNS privacy information, and Vercel's Privacy Notice.

We do not sell your account record or your in-app history list to advertisers. This statement does not describe the independent practices of websites you visit or services you choose to use.

5. Your choices and account deletion

Need help deleting your account or requesting deletion of account data? Email atenterprise.development@gmail.com from the address linked to your account and state that you want your DNS Shield Browser account deleted. We may need to verify that you own the account before acting. You can also use the in-app delete option above.

6. Retention and security

We keep your cloud account record while your account is active. You can request deletion as described above; we will process the request and remove the account record, unless retention is required by law. The app's history list, saved preferences, and any remembered email remain on your device until you remove them or uninstall the app; signing out or deleting the account does not automatically clear local browsing history or all website data.

We use HTTPS for communications with our cloud account services and the selected DoH provider. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when app features or data practices change. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice or ask for consent.

8. Contact
